What is MARDelivery?
MARDelivery is a free service for members of NN/LM Middle Atlantic Region. The service enables libraries to send links to ILL articles they lend, instead of emailing large attachments. MARDelivery can also be used to support local electronic document delivery.
Why should I use MARDelivery?
Whenever you need to send a file that is too large for email, MarDelivery can help. If you want to access articles from a variety of computers and don't want to carry around a USB stick, MarDelivery is a perfect way of doing so.
How can I request access to use MARDelivery?
If you are interested in becoming a MARDelivery library, complete the online application. A member of MAR will be in touch within 3-4 business days to establish your account.
Can I search for files other people uploaded?
No, because not everyone wishes to share the files they upload with everyone else. This way MarDelivery can be used to share files with whom you choose, as well as keep it for yourself as a backup or to download from anywhere in the world.
What is a MARDelivery ID?
When you first sign-up to request MARDelivery access, you are asked to create a username. This is your MARDelivery ID.
What kinds of files can be sent?
Preferably PDF files. Please refer to our TOS for more info on MarDelivery terms of service.
How long are files stored on the MARDelivery server?
Patrons have access to articles delivered through MARDelivery for 14 days. On day 15, articles will automatically be purged.
How do I upload a file?
Scan the requested article in PDF format, or save the file as a PDF version from a licensed electronic resource. Give the PDF a filename that will associate it with the request (e.g., a DOCLINE # or OCLC #). Save the file to a location on your computer that you will remember ("Desktop" or "My Documents" or a dedicated ILL folder).
What is "Upload Files"?
"Upload Files" is where you go to send something new to a user. On your computer, give the PDF files a name using the DOCLINE or OCLC #. Then click on "Browse" to find the file on your computer. Then upload the file from your computer. The file on your computer should have the naming convention
What is "My Files"?
"My Files" is a list of documents that have been uploaded. You can delete files, create folders to organize the files and move files into those folders. You can also export data regarding the files that are listed.
What is "My Account"?
This is where you can change the email address for your account, as well as change the password.
How do I delete a file I uploaded?
To delete a file, use the "Delete Link" that was provided to you after the upload process. If you lost your removal code, you can simply wait until the file expires after 14 days so it will be automatically removed from our site. Need Help?
